If you're organizing a local mission and want to get the word out, post it to this thread. Every Friday on Urban Prankster (http://urbanprankster.com) I will post a list of missions / events happening that weekend. If you want to be on that list any given week, post the details and a link for more information here on this thread.
ANOTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE!
Seattle + 10 is planning a day of activism, music, speech, and street theatrics for the Climate Justice & Fair Trade Event
Scene: We'll be performing a FREEZE!
Where & When: Seattle at Westlake Plaza (3rd and Pike) at 11:30 am Monday, November 30th
Look For: A Women with a sign that says FREEZE, she'll be coordinating :)
This flashmob is a very short one so EVERYONE should take part. To understand fully what is about you should watch the southpark episode 'Goobacks' (series 8 episode 7). It is using the "the dook our joobs" joke which you can watch at this youtube address: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLni3wbndls
This is what will be happening:
On Sunday the 5th of December, at Cabot Circus Shopping Centre, on the ground floor in the middle of the centre at 2:00pm, two people will start arguing very loudly. After about 30/40 seconds, one will shout at the other, "Your Fired". At that point, one person (pre-located) standing around 2meters away will stop, look and point at them and shout very clearly, "They took your job". Following that 4 other predetermined people spaced out around the shopping centre will stop and point at the couple shouting the same line, each time less coherent than the last (as shown in the video above). Finally, a 6th person wearing a florescent yellow high-visibility shirt standing underneath (or next to if not possible) the giant wire reindeer will point and shout the line.
At this point, signalled by the 6th person wearing the hi-vis jacket, all of you will stop, wherever you are in Cabot, point, and shout "dey dook aar joobs" in the style of the video linked above. Say it only once but if you are with a group, try and arrange it so you say it at different times (as in one after the other) so we don't just have everyone shout at once. Try and spread out so you are on different levels so as to add a better effect.
Two announcements. One worldwide. Another one local to São Paulo City, in Brazil. Both will happen this Saturday.
First, the worldwide one.
25th Worldwide SKETCHCRAWL
As said in their official website, SketchCrawls are "drawing marathons from around the world". Basically, people around the world gather (or not, since you can participate in your home too) to draw. "But draw what?", you might ask. "Whatever you want!", I would answer. Then, participants can scan and upload their drawings to share them with the world. Or something like that, I may not have gotten it right. Anyways, seems like fun.
Most importantly, anyone can participate. It doesn't matter if your hands draw awfully. It doesn't matter if you don't have hands at all! If you can draw anyhow, then grab a pencil, paper and go for it!
Check out which cities around the world are already organizing something on their forums: HERE!
If you don't find your city there, go ahead and start organizing a SketchCrawl in your vicinity!
They seem to make these Sketchcrawls quite often, much more than once a year. So, if you lose it this Saturday, there might be another one coming right up.
Also, soon after SketchCrawl in São Paulo - SP, Brazil, there will be a...
SUBWAY PARTY!
That's right, mate! The very first subway party to be held in Brazil (that I'm aware of).
It's being organized to happen this Saturday (November 21st), at 7PM. It will start at Conceição Station, going through the entire blue line until the very final Tucuruvi Station.
For more details, check out the topic I've made in São Paulo's group (click here, it's in portuguese) and their official blog. They've also made a Twitter account and an orkut community. There's a whole damn lot of details described in both the blog and the orkut community. Everything in portuguese, beware.
Learn the dance. Buckland Mall in CT on the Friday after Thanksgiving at 9:00 AM near the fountain. contact me for more information. or follow @fulfilment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RSacob4c_0
BTW we need another vidoegrapher
UNICORN FLOOH
Unicorn vs swine, flying pigs over fried bacon, life against death, resurrection following crucifixion, joy in the face of terror, biojoyism instead of bioterrorism.
Our mission is to generate an epidemic of unicorn flooh. Help spiritually nullify swine flu with the joy of our unicorn imagination.
Unicorn flooh is a "spiritually" transmitted disease with imaginary symptoms. All symptoms are meant to be healthy and joyful. Those infected choose their own unique self-expressive symptoms.
For example, I intend to have a smiley-face stigmata in the form of smiley-face stickers stuck to my hand. A friend of mine soon will compulsively sing out loud in public, and another now wears a "lucky penny" taped to his hat expressing the aspiration for better luck in life.
I am personally taking on a new symptom of unicorn flooh each day. You can follow my daily progress at twitter.com/unicornflooh
I hope that other daydreamers can conceive of your own unique imaginary symptoms. Please help generate an epidemic of unicorn flooh.

Starting this week, I will be doing something that I like to call "Stereotype Busting" on the weekends. I will go around dressed as a member of a commonly stereotyped group (like emo, goth, geek, diva, jock, et cetera), and act the way that the public expects. Then, if I'm in an area with a large number of people, I'll start acting in the exact opposite way from what I was doing moments ago. After about 5 minutes of this, I'll switch back to the stereotype, just as suddenly as I broke out of it.
When? -- This Sunday, October 25, 2009. 12:45 PM Pacific.
What to do? -- Please arrive at Los Angeles Union Station no later than 12:45 PM. Enter the station casually and make your way to the Waiting Room (see attached photo). If you have arrived as part of a group, you are not to act as though you know one another. If you encounter other people you recognize, do not act like you know them. Take an open seat, read, listen to music, or strike up conversation in twos and threes. Dress however you normally would. Keep close track of your watch, and make sure that it has been set accurately. At exactly 1:00 PM, stop whatever you are doing and stand up. Immediately begin repeating the word “anakaretor” in moderately loud voice. If, before 1:00 PM, someone else in the station begins saying “anakaretor,” you must immediately stand up and join them. Repeat the word exactly 30 times, with 1 second pauses in between. Try to keep in time with those around you.
How is “anakaretor” pronounced? -- Anakaretor is pronounced (on a car ETT or), or (änä•kä•RET•or).
Then what? -- After you have repeated the word “anakaretor” exactly 30 times, go back about your business as though nothing had happened, and eventually make your way slowly and casually out of the station. Across the street from the station, at the corner of N Los Angeles Street and N Alameda Street, you will find near the corner a sign labeled “El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument. This is the corner you want. You will proceed up the steps at this corner and find yourself in an roughly circular garden. In the garden, the meaning and purpose of this happening will be begin to be made clear to you, especially if you are very observant.
How long will this take? -- The whole happening, from arriving at Union Station to leaving the garden across the street should not be more than half an hour of your time.
How should questions be answered? -- If passersby, journalists or security personnel ask you about this happening, you must only identify yourself by name and explain that you are participating in a social experiment. This happening is, of course, fully in compliance with pertinent law and ordinances, but in the event that uniformed security personnel should give you any directions, you should comply fully.
What’s in it for me? -- You have a rare opportunity to be a part of a revolutionary, continent-spanning happening, and you’ll have a very interesting story to tell for the rest of your life.
How do I sign up? -- Simply reply to bvigenere@gmail.com with your name and gender. You are welcome to bring along several friends to have them participate in the happening. However, please be sure to have them RSVP to the email listed as well. We look forward to seeing you at Union Station!
Hi There! We have 3 Flash Mobs going on on the 14th. Email us at Flashmobamerica@gmail.com for information. or facebook.com/flashmobamerica....Especially Janet Jackson fans...even if you aren't a fan and just want to DANCE or LEARN TO DANCE....we did the MJ Flash Mobs this summer and they were a huge hit.
Why: improve the visibity and equality of GLBT people.
