The Urban Prankster Network

We Cause Scenes

This idea is originally by allyson p,
"I'm interested in doing a giant choreographed dance in Millenium Park or anywhere downtown, as long as it's not too strenuous, remember to keep it as low key as possible you should have people from all ages, walks of life to participate and some older agents might not be able to"drop it like it's hot".......,just a thought"
running with her idea, I think we should have a dance off. One "team" get in one color, for example red. The other "team" gets in a different, blue. There should be like flattened cardboard boxes as a dance floor/mat. And agents can get on the mats and dance. I think it would be good if 1 person got out a stereo, get on the boxes, and dance. Like no ones watching. Then agents slowly come in from various locations, and dance along. (but if its done this way, the whole contest might be thrown off.) And if enough agents show up, and surround the person on the "dance mat", more people, unware of whats going on, will see what the commotion's about. THEN, after many people dance all the agents disapeer.

I just saw the Oprah flash mob, WOW. Black Eye Pea's is not my thing, but it looked great and really made me smile to see it.

I just joined Chicago Urban Prankster and have some very easy choreography we could do for a Millenium park Flash Mob dance. The song I had in mind was 'Kung Fu Fighting' by Carl Douglas. We could do the two gangs idea. The two teams could have different covered kimono/robes. They would be cheap to buy, just some fabric wrapped around and add belt. The song is familiar to many people young and old due to Kung Fu Panda Movie and I think it's just kinda fun. What do you think. Easy dance steps and fun? I have some super easy dance moves that I could teach everyone.

This sounds like it would be fun, and I definately think we should have a new choreographed dance. I like the old-song-remixed like the "sound of music train station" video on youtube. and i think just having everyone pretend to seem interested, then skipping in and doing the dance
