The ice rink that is set up in Millennium Park during the winter would be a great place to pull a prank. As long as we all got in line together we could occupy a majority of the ice and have a large audience. As far as ideas go, I only have a couple that we could do seperately or incorporate into a routine. We could all fall at the same time or all switch our hats to the same color or dance or something along those lines. If you guys could help come up with some ideas that would be great. I posted this up really early so that we could have some time to settle on a single idea and get it planned. We still have a month till it opens for the season and two months till the "holiday" season.

That would be a good idea because of the connection between freezing and being on the ice, but because it's in the middle of a public ice rink it would be too dangerous. It might also look bad if people who couldn't skate fell down in the middle. Also, we would probably be kicked out if we froze because the line for the rink is so long and we'd be wasting people's time. If we all sung a song then I don't think people would care as much about the time because they would be entertained.
i'd love to do this! i just joined the group and am wondering what kind of prep is needed for these things? do we plan in all out online and hope it falls into place?

Yes. It's kind of like the honor system. It only works if people say they will show up and then actually do. The freeze that we did at the bean turned out well beacuse almost everyone that said they would show did. I want everyone that wants to do this say so on this thread so I can have and idea of how many people can come.
I really like the idea of singing a Christmas song. We all get in line together and once we all are on the ice at once someone gives the signal and we all start to sing. I think we need a visual cue to go along with the song like hand motions or something like that. I need someone to film. If you are bad on the ice and think you are going to fall then you should be the ones to give the cues from the side. I think the date has to be Saturday, December 19th because that gives everyone a month to plan ahead and ask off work. Any later than that and we miss Christmas. If that doesn't work for a lot of people it might change, but as of now that is the official date. Any song ideas? The most requested song will be the one that is chosen so if you want a song make sure you reply and suggest it. I really want this event to be seen through.

What if we synchronized skated? It's easy to film down into the ice rink. We could all wear the same hat and make fun (and easy) formations to some cheesy holiday classic. Abby P., you could be the star atop our Christmas tree!
Well, I am absolutely horrible on the ice, so I'd be able to do something outside the ring possibly? Just let me know what kind of ideas will be thrown out, but I would love to support this.
im totally in! you could always bust out into like a xmas song that goes along with skating or something... cant think of any now but yea you sould sing and dance to a xmas song!
Hey, I don't have time to take the lead on this idea, but if something gets going, I figure skated for 12 years and can do all sorts of big jumps and fast spins, etc. Just to let you know I'm in if you need me!
You're right, that ice rink is a great place for a mission. I was actually thinking about this just the other day. What about an old fashioned couple skate? Or a general dance party...you know I'm always up for that. I've been doing some small dance parties where everyone brings the same song on an ipod to dance to...maybe we could do something with that...?
I like it.
You could so so many things with it. You could do it similar to the 'Look up more' where you have someone (or several people placed around the rink) giving cues.
And you can do a lot of things from everyone falling, turning around and skating the other way (don't know if that's specifically disallowed), everyone pulling over to the sides, making a chain and doing planned out moves, etc.
Good idea, hope I'll be home for when you do it :)
I'm definetly in, but i feel we need to go more visual, bells are a good start if we can ring them in synchronization. Also a uniform way of dressing would also be good.
