Well, I gather there WILL be a No-Pants Metro ride this year, on January 8, 2012.  But it looks like I'll have to give it a pass this time.

On the same day, there will be a pack of fools stripping completely naked, and throwing themselves stark naked into the icy Atlantic Ocean in New Jersey.

I intend to be one of those naked fools.

This is the first time that the Polar Bare Plunge and the No-Pants Metro Ride have been scheduled for the same day.

One of my college classmates is doing a dance Flash Mob in DC on in March. Here is the facebook link! DC Hustle Flash Mob

Who's ready for the first ever Hustle Flash Mob?!? Following in the footsteps of D'Amico and the creation of the first ever WCS Flash Mob, Erica Smith has pioneered the first ever Hustle Flash Mob. In so doing, Erica teamed up with Joyce Szili to co-choreograph a 64-count hustle routine to Lady Gaga's “Just Dance.” This easy and fun routine was debuted in Erica Smith's FREE Hustle Flash Mob Workshop at Virginia State Open (VS...O). A video recording of the choreography will appear on this page, http://youtube.com/hottttcocco, and http://thehustlingattorney.com/HustleDC.html in January 2011.

The Hustle Flash Mob will be debuted for the first time in Washington, DC in March 2011. For more information about how you can participate in the DC Hustle Flash Mob OR a Hustle Flash Mob in your state, please contact Erica via email at dchustle@yahoo.com.

Hustle Flash Mob 2011 Facts:

(1) The official Hustle Flash Mob song is Lady Gaga's "Just Dance."

(2) The official Hustle Flash Mob choreography was created by Erica Smith (MD) and Joyce Szili (MD).

(3) The official Hustle Flash Mob choreography is lead/follow and easy enough for non-Hustle dancers to learn!

(4) If you don't currently have a dance partner, you can still participate! As the organizer of the DC Hustle Flash Mob, I can assist you in finding a partner to dance with at the DC Hustle Flash Mob 2011. If you are in need of a partner, please contact me via email at dchustle@yahoo.com.

(5) The goal is for the Hustle Flash Mob to be performed in as many states as possible! Let's show America the current state of the dance we know and love. If you are interested in organizing a Hustle Flash Mob in your state, please contact me via email at dchustle@yahoo.com. My goal is to provide information about the DC Hustle Flash Mob as well as other state's Hustle Flash Mobs.

(6) The exact date, time, and location of the DC Hustle Flash Mob will be disclosed at a later time. It will take place indoors, on a weekend, at a crowded location. The DC Hustle Flash Mob is tentatively scheduled for March 2011.

Please RSVP YES if you want to participate in the DC Hustle Flash Mob and MAYBE if you want to participate in a Hustle Flash Mob in your state to ensure you get all the details :)

Dear DC defenestrators,

I'm trying to put together a flashmob for local food banks. It's fairly basic: we'll send out a youtube video link with the song and dance that everyone is going to learn, and we'll email everyone of the special location and time of the flashmob. When that day comes, we'll have a mini film crew to video-record the event!

The idea is that local food banks provide free food to the poor and to children. It has been increasingly difficult for them in this economy and as more and more children turn to them in the summer. This flashmob is aimed at increasing awareness and encourage volunteers and donations to these local food banks - your neighborhood food banks where the kids of your friends go to might benefit from your action!

Also, as always, it'll be tons of fun!

That's a great idea! What type of protest are going on? @Stuart Hean

Let's do something! i just signed up and there are now 626 members, that's more than are in most of improv everywhere's missions.
Next Friday and Saturday, protests are taking place around the national mall, one involves dancing in the streets. it would be cool to do a freeze mob.
