Portland Improv hosts record-breaking social experiments in the Portland metro-area. In the past year we've frozen over 2,500 people in 3 separate freezes. The Portland Freeze 2008, at Pioneer Courthouse Square, holds the title as the largest freeze in the U.S., involving 1,528 participants. As a group we coordinate flash missions to an unexpecting audience, in public venues. Check out our mission videos and information regarding future missions below.

We have 1,000+ members and gearing up for our newest mission, “Let’s Dance!”

Let’s Dance mission information:

“Let’s Dance!” involved hundreds of people spontaneously breaking out in dance, at Clackamas Town Center. At 2pm music played throughout the mall. The dance started off with just a few dancers bursting onto the scene, and then grew virally until all were dancing.

The VIP Improv:
We made our friend into a fake celebrity, convincing many to request autographs and photographs. This mission took place in Hillsboro.

Hmm, sounds good to me. What's the Zombie walk?

The zombie walk is this weekend (24th) ....I was kind of hoping to do this as a dress rehearsal/ good excuse to see the movie.

Maybe next year if there's a zombie movie playing ?)

Alright, well I'm in, I could easily get a few people involved. What would be a good date? Maybe this Friday or Saturday?
