COMPLETE LOGISTICS:

HOW IT WORKS

We will assemble by the Energy Solutions Arena Station at 3PM Sharp! Please be on time. Feel free to be early.

When we're organized, we will all head down to the Energy Solutions Arena TRAX station together. Do not talk to others once you enter the TRAX system. No one knows each other. (Or at least we're pretending we don't!) We will wait for a TRAX train to arrive, and all board the TRAX cars.

Sit in the car as you normally would. Read a magazine or whatever you would normally do. If you want to sit in small groups with your friends, that's okay. Just pretend that you don't know any of the other pantless people on the train.

At some random point after you board the train, stand up and take your pants off and put them in your backpack. If you'd like to use a briefcase, purse, grocery bag, or whatever instead of a backpack that's fine too. You are responsible for your own pants and they should be with you at all times. If anyone asks you why you've removed your pants, make something up. You can say something like you were "getting uncomfortable", or you "got too hot" (or something along those lines.)

Exit the train at the Courthouse Station and stand on the platform, pantless. You will wait on the platform for the Northbound train to arrive.

When you enter, act as you normally would. You do not know any of the other pantless riders. If questioned, tell folks that you "forgot to wear pants" and yes you are "a little cold". Insist that it is a coincidence that others also forgot their pants. Be nice and friendly and normal. Feel free to make up any story you like. Be creative and have fun with it. Make something up like "I forgot them because I was in a hurry," or, "wait, was I supposed to wear pants?" or, "what are you talking about?" The key is to do this with a straight face, and be serious about it.

We will exit the train again at the Delta Center Station. We will then repeat the mission back down to the Courthouse Stop. Don't worry about staying with one group or another. After a while we'll have gotten on several different trains and spread out throughout the TRAX Free Ride Zone.

You can wear fun underwear if you like, but nothing that screams out "I wore this because I'm doing a silly stunt." Wear two pairs of underwear if it makes you feel more comfortable. Don't wear a thong or anything else that might offend people. Our aim is to make people laugh, not piss them off.

If you haven't already, please take a moment to read the previous mission reports for the last seven No Pants rides. You can do so here:

This is always a blast, and I'm really happy that you are taking part in it. You may bring along friends if you like, but make sure they get a chance to read all of these instructions.

See you on the 10th!

NOTE: For those of you who think this is unlawful, it's not. It's not even against UTA rules. (No one got in trouble last year, and everyone that participated had a lot of fun!) Besides, is it any different than wearing a bathing suit in a public swimming pool? I don't think so...plus, it's much more fun!

So how did the ride turn out?

It was awesome! We didn't have quite as many people turn out this year, which was a surprise, but we had a good 50 people participate. It was a lot of fun for the participants and the people riding TRAX had some good laughs.
