We Cause Scenes

Was thinking a mass zombie attack on union square might be funny. agents would do their own makeup...doesn't have to be anything special, but appear zombie-like in some shape or form.

Then we show up at the same time and mill around union square as if we were normal shoppers, but just undead. We slowly but surely limp our undead selves into the center of the square and have a zombie sit-in/party. We could have a boombox playing monster mash/thriller/any horror-related song you can come up with. We could sip on blood beverages while dining on fake, bloody limbs (provide your own).

Preferably on a weekend when the masses come to shop. Perfect time of year too, as the holidays are upon us. Zombies are so hot right now. Zombies.

What do you guys think?

Since there is another group dedicated to zombie appearances (see post below) with a huge following, I think this idea might best be left to the masters.

that sounds like an amazing idea, a random weekend in november might work out

I think Halloween is the WORST time of year for zombies. They're expected, and it gives people a familiar context which makes it somehow less interesting.

yeah I didn't want to do it for halloween...I wanted to do it around Xmas time. Definitely agree with you on halloween/zombie drag connection.

Good idea, but there are actually two other groups that already do something like this a few times a year :')

Last Saturday, in fact, there was a world wide attempt to break a record of "zombies" dancing to Thriller at one specific time.

As for the SF zombie group that just acts like your average zombie, they have a website here:
http://eatbrains.com/

You can sign up for their news letter where they will send you dates, times, and a map of the zombie route a couple of days before the event. The cool thing about this group, in my opinion, is that since they have been around for a while, they have quite the large number of followers (a couple hundred people I believe). Their last event was in late March so I'm guessing they'll have something coming up soon.

Hey thanks...had no idea of the preexisting zombie corps. Awesome.

I think it's a good idea, (however, I wont be in SF until Dec 2, and cannot participate, but damn I wish I could) and so I propose another idea inspired by yours. As that is Halloween spook-fest-style, this other one involves SO MANY SANTA's!!! catchy, I know. We could all dress up like good ol' St. Nick, and head to the mall where a certain greedy
mr. claus gets paid to be the center of attention. We could all stand in line and get our photo's taken with the main man, and confuse many a men.

Fun idea. I think it would be even cooler if it culminated in all zombies doing the Thriller dance.

The thriller dance was last weekend.
