I absolutely love the Official IE MP3 Experiment (if you don't know what this is, look at the bottom of my post) and thought it would be a TON of fun to actually participate in one myself... So, I am taking on the task of setting up and organizing Seattle's FIRST (as far as I know it) MP3 Experiment. I'm also bringing a few cameras to the event to edit together a video. ^.^
The Time and Date will be:
2:00PM - Saturday, December 13th.
(2:10PM being the time to press play)
The Location will be in Downtown Seattle, if you want to attend, please either PM me here, e-mail me at seattlemp3@rainydaysrecess.com, or post a reply with your e-mail address and I will get the details out to you. Asking for people's e-mail address helps with the head count and helps ensure people will show up.
The MP3 is done and ready to be downloaded. Due to time, I didn't get to include as much as I had wanted, but it still turned out good. The event should be loads of fun, and we are going to get a ton of attention!
This Went so well today! thank you everyone!!!
on a side note:
did any one happen to pick up a video camera in the location where we started, someone lost it and is trying to find it!
Any concern about the crappy weather forecast for Saturday? I'm not so much concerned for the participants, my guess is that many will go regardless of the weather. But what about the regular people on the street, the unsuspecting folks who are just going about their business when they stumble across the fun antics of the MP3 experiment? Will we have less of an audience due to the weather conditions???
Not so much... This is going to be at the Seattle Center, so there will be people there regardless of weather. This is also taking place during Seattle Center's Winterfest, so the Ice Rink will be open along with several shops at Seattle Center. Seattle’s Best Jazz will be preforming earlier in the day and there should be a bunch of people around for the Children's Theater, so that should keep people around as well.
If anyone still hasn't signed up, there is still time! E-mail me before NOON, DECEMBER 13th (Saturday) and I will get you the MP3/Info.
You can do a Freeze anytime, but how often can you do an MP3 Experiment? They do have over 3,000 people though, which is impressive, but The "Portland Freeze" is in Portland - about three hours away from "Seattle's MP3 Experiment" in Seattle.
A would be fun. I can imagine my reaction to the sight of an enormous pillow battle. Helmets should be involved. From bicycle helmets to motorcycle helmets.
