Where's Waldo?!

We're gonna cause a scene in a few places. First we'll have to put up some signs saying "Wanted: Armed and Dangerous" with a waldo picture. An hour or so later, we have waldo coming down the street and have some people looking for him.

This might be a huge event, but that's up to you guys what you think.

i also like alex (agent snuggles)'s idea to get several people really dressed as waldo and have people search for different waldos doing different things, like where's waldo reading the paper? and where's waldo shopping?

Well depending on how many people are participating, it might be a good idea to get one person actually dressed up as Waldo, and a bunch of people dressed similar, stripes going the wrong way, different style of glasses, etc.

Oh and Hi, new guy here, actually in Victoria, but it wouldn't be hard to get over to Vancouver to participate

i like this idea a lot, since i was Where's Waldo for Halloween :)

maybe we could do something like they did in Edmonton?
i could put my costume to good use!

This would probably work best in a busy shopping area, maybe on Robson?

also we should do it soon before it gets too cold.

This is probably gonna be an all day event btw so everyone can get a chance to play.

I'm also thinking whether or not we should make this a huge event where we hand out flyers and put up posters in advance, and I mean days/weeks in advance. If that's the case, I think we should wait for summer.

OR...

we can do a mini-promo version and slap it on youtube to get more people excited for it.

I dont think we should advertise at all, this needs to be more of a surprise thing to make people think "what the heck...?" andn they shouldn't be given the chance to know whats happening ahead of time.

another variation on this could be having a lynch mob looking for waldo
it's never been made completely clear why everyone's been looking for this elusive character, so might as well have him owe us some money or something similar

Ahah, we recently got in red and white striped shirts where I work (fairly thin-striped, though), and the first thing I thought of was Waldo.

The poster should feature an actual cartoon picture of Waldo, as opposed to a photo of the person dressed as Waldo.
