My idea is set in a Coffee shop say, Starbucks or Costa. The mob is seated all over the cafe. Some men, will walk into the shop wearing cowboy hats and after leaving, the music "Personal Jesus" by Depeche Mode plays and the mob will start dancing wi…
I know this is after the fact, but we do have a Food Not Bombs chapter here. I've thought it would be great to do a canned food flashmob.
This could even work in my idiot, "worship the fountain" concept. Offer the foods up as some kinda sacrifice t…
I normally has to pull off one man pranks. I hope I found myself a home. I am eager to partake in upcoming events. I live in Utica, but can travel within reason and transport as well. I hope to here from ya's.
If we're quick. We could pick a food bank to benefit from the results and rope them into recruiting supporters to join in - it would provide great publicity for the cause. I'm new to this group, is there any way of emailing/contacting members to org…
Hi,
I haven't checked the site lately. You are the only person in the area I see actually replying. IS anything going to happen on June 6? Is there any other way to check the link without creating a FaceBook account?
This is a really great idea. And speaking of flashmobs for charity...
My colleagues and I are trying a really fun social media experiment and were hoping to enlist some help. The project is called “A Kiss for Charity.” In short, it’s a Twitter flas…
that sounds very cool and am totally down for it. if we get something going i will have to ask for the day off cuz i always work on saturdays and i would need to know soon. it's too bad nobody else seems to like this idea.
I'm going to need more information on this food drive/global mission...also figure we'll need to map out a place to hold the flash mob, what to bring, how to go about setting it up...more background, please...
allow me to be critical, since you're spamming the entire IE/UP network:
- this sounds very sketchy.. your homepage @ freke-deke.com makes lots of mention of "licensing" and "brands" and ends with "Apparel, energy drinks, cologne" and has lots of ® marks.
- we are already facing issues all over the world (especially in the UK) with advertising agencies STEALING the idea of flashmobbing/improvised chaos+joy events to make some quick money by appealing to the masses.

I'm not convinced flashmobs are good alignment for food drives. It sounds nice on paper, but who hauls away all the food? Who receives it? If you get 2,000 pounds of cans, that is NOT trivial to move away. And is this really a flashmob at this point, or just an organized food drive? It seems to me that if the goal is to raise food, there are lots of existing companies and places doing food drives that could use the help rather than doing it through a flashmob.
Hey this is Marvin from the CCA. I'd really love to get involved with this unfortunatley though most of the people in this area are too wishy washy to commit to anything concrete. It's been two months since our last succesful mission and only five people showed up for that, everyone else bummed out.
