- Hey not sure if this is appropriate but i organize lots of events in Vienna/Austria, one of which is a fairly regular occurrence of Mobile Clubbing Silent Disco parties. Im in Orange County now visiting my family and spontaneously decided to get an event going this Saturday... it would be absolutely stellar if you could message this to members of the group, though if you don't i can understand. Here is the message i've been posting online everywhere ::
Mobile Clubbing Silent Disco Party at HB Pier, Saturday Oct 3rd, 8pm until..?
The idea is simple: bring a portable music player (e.g. ipod, cd player, etc), headphones and your favorite dancing music and get ready to shake your booty all night long! If you dont have equipment, just get a pair of headphones and you'll be OK as i have a TON of 2/3/5-way splitters (and mini amps) so you can share music with someone else (which is also a great way to make mini dancefloors and meet new people :)
This is NOT a flashmob 5-minute dance party and then disappear, it's a way to hang out, socialize and most importantly to get your serious groove on to your favorite tunes.
I've been organizing these about every 2/4 weeks in Vienna/Austria and i can guarantee you will have the most awesome time EVAR. You can see lots of pics/videos @ www.MobileClubbingVienna.com or on Facebook @ Mobile Clubbing Vienna.
Anyways, this event is taking place Saturday, October 3rd at the big patch of grass on the side of Huntington Beach Pier, from 8pm until we get kicked out (at 10pm the beach closes but we can move to the pier or up into streets of Huntington Beach).

I'm one of the kings of the monkeys of the local regional Burning Man community. I happen to know that no fewer than 2 dozen (and probably closer to a hundred) individuals would love to participate in these sort of things, but I don't want to run around shouting about missions on the general list without first discussing these things with you.
At your convenience, would you drop me a line at normal@gigsville.org so we can talk of this and other things? Above all else, let me know if it is NOT ok to send people to your group for these sort of activities. I do not want to compromise any missions.

At 5:55 on 5/5 at a public Fountain in your area
Bring a can of food for the local Food Bank. Flood the fountain with bags of canned food. Here is the plan.
Show up at a local fountain around 5:45 (wearing rain gear and galoshes if you have them). Start milling around. At 5:55 the alert will sound and everyone will walk up to the fountain place their food in a plastic bag in and around the fountain. Call your local food bank to be there with a truck to haul it back to their warehouse. Smile...we have done a fun and easy good/bad deed!

Definetly in, no question about it, and I'll bring a few people with!
I'm definetly in, but i feel we need to go more visual, bells are a good start if we can ring them in synchronization. Also a uniform way of dressing would also be good.
