We Cause Scenes

Kristen

Synchronized dance

I have always wished life was like "cry baby" or another musical where people start singing & dancing in unison out of the blue in public. What if we has a boom box strollin down pioneer place and people in all different places around start dancing the same moves? To make it easier we could all learn practice at home to a well published utube video clip and meet up a couple times to practice. I also think this would be cool in a restaurant! :)

Has anyone thought of trying to do the algorithm march on a large scale? It's a youtube video.

Ok, so the meeting was a little less organized than I thought it was. I guess first and foremost I should have told people how to recognize me. That's ok, though. Now I know for next time. Also, "The Forestry Center" is kind of a vague description of a meeting spot. Also it sounded like there was car trouble and phone trouble and things like that. So, I'm sorry to any of you who went out there and feel like you wasted your time. Personally, I thought it was such a nice day that I was just happy to be outside. I did meet a couple pretty cool people there and one skeptical mom. Ha ha, just kidding mom.

But, as you can probably guess, there's not too much planning you can do with that few people. So we're going to attempt again. I think things will go a whole lot better if we get some verbal communication. Anyone interested in meeting up to discuss possible plans for this event should call me at 503-422-6581. Feel free to leave a message if I don't answer because I don't always answer when I'm at work, which is 8-5. Anyway, don't be discouraged because we weren't able to meet up today. I'm not. It just gives everyone more time to think about it. Hope to hear from some of you soon.

TTYL,

Jon

I'll be getting there a little early so I can talk w/ management and see if they've got a plug in we can use. I'll be bringing a tv/vcr combo and a copy of west side story so we can review the 'sharks vs. jets' song and dance, since it seems to be one of the more popular ideas. Also, fyi, b'cuz it costs to get into the museum and bcuz we dont have permission to go on in to meet everyone I suggest we meet outside; if you walk around the building to the left (clockwise/headed west) from the entrance, theyve got plenty of covering from the weather.

Me and my brother will come from Salem. I wasn't familiar with the movie Cry Baby, but I just rented it and watched it. Was there a particular dance scene that you wanted to reenact?

I think I'll try to make the brainstorming meeting. Might be fun to try something that night.

I can't make it to the brain storming meeting either. But I do have some ideas...I want the dance/song to look completly random and look like we didn't plan it!!!

I'll be posting full details on what goes down at the meeting this weekend. Don't worry if you can't make it. This first meeting is just to get an idea of how many people we have, what we are going to do, and when we are going to do it. Just because you can't make it to the first meeting doesn't mean you won't be invited to any other meetings. All it means is you might miss out on a little bit of the creative process and some minor decision making. Really I have no idea what decisions will be made at this first meeting. Please come if you can, though, and let me know if you can attend. I'm looking forward to meeting you all. Just in case you're not one of those people who reads past the first post, you can contact me at Scipiotgreat@hotmail.com.

Ok I won't be able to come to the brainstorming session but I am still interested. Could you just fill me in on what ever is decided at the meeting?

Ooh, well I think it would be planned to do this so soon, I'm still in school out of town. So I'm out for now. Let me know when you've got pictures or video!

This would be great! I'm in, and I could probably recruit at least 5 people.
