Inspired by Imp-Ev's 'Best Game ever' & 'Best Gig ever' I thought it might be fun to descend upon an unsuspecting, unknown local performer with a barrage of flashbulbs, microphones & rapid fire gossip type questions. Maybe mix in a few ravenous fans requesting various item to be autographed, etc.. Make him/her feel like a superstar if only for one night. (watch an episode of TMZ or THIS CLIP if you're not sure what I mean.)
Or we could roam through a populated tourist area as a band of marauding paparazzi targeting random people and mistakenly identifying them as celebrities. Any blond could be a Britney Spears, any man with a mustache Tom Selleck, any Asian man a Jackie Chan, you get the idea. Every couple minutes someone would spot a bigger & better celeb and we'd drop the existing "star" in pursuit of our next BIG photo op.
This could make for a fun scene requiring very little preparation, anyone up for it?
We could do it at pier 39/fisherman's wharf. There's a lot of people there, and there are street performers at the crystal geyser stage and musicians outside the hard rock cafe...
Well the idea was that we (agents) will be the paparazzi so we could wear whatever really just so long as you have a camera. Or if you prefer you can be a crazed fan. The "stars" we'll be obsessing over will be non-agents, regular people who may or may not resemble the celebrities we believe them to be.
If you guys are really interested then please tell everyone on your friends list about this proposed mission, lets try to get a buzz going. Organization is not my strong suite, more of an idea guy :)
Great idea! And, to get local "web2.0" buzz, I suggest we "recognize" Kevin Rose, Robert Scoble, Veronica Belmont and Pete Cashmore. Free press sure to follow.
