We Cause Scenes

The Big Switch!

This is something completely Original that will put Portland's IE group on the Map! If we can get a large group of people into a public place, like a mall or Pioneer Courthouse Square. I'm thinking 100+ people. Instead of freezing simulatneously, everyone begins trading accessories. Instantly perfect strangers everywhere will begin switching hats, handbags, coats, sweatshirts, backpacks, pets, sunglasses, scarfs, Everything but actual clothes. The best part would be trying to trade items (hats, props) with the clueless bystanders!!! Then as quicky as it began, everyone walks off with completely different clothes/accessories. We'd all meet at a rendevous point to return all items. I'm thinking to do this in late May perhaps. That would give us enough time to gather 100+ plus people and also a hidden camera crew to make it for youtube.

I think this sounds like fun. Depending on the date, I can bring up to 10 people. Keep me posted!... This will be very fun!

I'm down as well.
For clarification, after the switch will the participants get back together to switch back the items to their original owners, or just bring stuff you don't care about losing?

We will all meet afterwards to return all items. Of course we will ask all people to leave valuables in their cars. Especially for women, to take everything out of there purses, before meeting. But Yes, we will all get our items back afterwards!

I'd be up for this!

And, don't quote me on this or hold me on it, but my father has high def filming equipment. He lives in a different location in Oregon, but it's possible he might agree to hide a camera or two in some strategic locations or on his person and film the event or offer other assistance. I don't know as I'd have to talk it over with him, but just throwing it out there as a possibility.

That would be great. I have two cameras myself. But I was thinking we'd need people to film who aren't going to participate. an HD camera would undaoubtable be the best quality. It can all be sorted out later. But yeah, that biggest thing to remember is that there needs to be enough cameras to film the participants, and also the confused spectators. The humor comes from the reactions of the unknowing spectators.
