Mission name: Father Abraham
Location: Charter Oak Church in Battle Ground Washington
Mission: To see if we could get a whole community room to join in a spontaneous round of Father Abraham during a tuesday night church potluck.

Report: I (Agent Ironstag) conscripted, organized, and dispersed a small group of agents around the fellowship hall at church during a tuesday night potluck. I then stood up on the fireplace in plain view and began to loudly sing the simple verses of Father Abraham, a common Sunday school song. During the the verse "I am one of them, and so are you", I pointed to another agent, who promptly joined in. The agents then began to join in one by one, until bystanders began to join in as well, each pointing to another person. By the end, over half the room had joined us. With the final stanza, "sit down", the agents immediately returned to eating.

Mission Accomplished!

On April 4, 2007 MontréalExpo staged a Moebius:


Our scenario :
1- Agent V (female) enters and stands in front of the counter, looking at the menu as she makes her choice.
2- Agent KazeRin (female) follows in and stands next to her, looks at her suggestively and eventually grabs her ass. Agent V freaks out, protests loudly and exits via a secon door, Agent KazeRin in tow.
3- Agent narF (male) drops his spoon and picks it up.
4- Shortly after, agent Évangélus Givenchy (male) enters via the same door our female agents left through, a map of the city in hand, and walks across the cafe.
5- Agent Muffin (male) goes to get a sugar pack, making sure he gets the right one amongst the three sorts available.
6- Agent Zulu (female) enters, speaking on the phone, and goes to stand in line at the counter. She is told, and repeats loudly that Sarah-Jeanne is at Saint-Luc Hospital. She rushes out, running into Agent Muffin, who protests.
7- Agent Munster (female) asks Agent Orange (male) for the time; she's repeatedly answered the same time. Ensues a short discussion of his reading : Boris Vian's Froth on the Daydream.
8- Agent Circéus (male) gets his laptop out and turns it on, only to find out he hardly has any battery left, so he packs it away.
9- The loop restarts.

Agents comes in one by one and settle. The first loop, as expected, goes unnoticed. Agent narF drops his spoon in a dirty water pool, prompting the woman in the next seat to note he won't be using it anymore. Agent narF proceeds to adjust and go to get a spoon each time. As he settles, Agent Circeus spills some of his hot chocolate. A couple sitting next to him notice his reaction (stifled laughter, as he is reminded of the original Moebius' similar incident), and briefly interacts with him, but contact is soon broken as the pair leaves.

With the second loop, a group of young man sitting in front of the counter have noticed Agent KazeRin and V, despite that they are much less noisy than what was planned. They begin to attempt (without success) alerting Agent V that her ass will be groped. By the fourth loop, even the workers have noticed something is going on. Our small gang have noticed agent Évangélus Givenchy, KazeRin, V, Zulu, Muffin and narF. They begin noting which order they appear in and predict their arrival. Other people take notice. The original group attempt to interact with Agent narF and Muffin. They ask the latter what kind of prank he is pulling, but he turns the tables on them and asks back what prank are -they- pulling on him: it's the first sugar pack he has picked yet. Agent narF moves over to them to film their reactions. By the sixth loop, one tries to get in the way of the inevitable Muffin-Zulu collision. Zulu collides with him and apologize as she's been doing with Muffin, who comments to the go-between about how clumsy she is.

Meanwhile, agent Orange, Munster and Circéus go mostly unnoticed, even though Circéus has been hitting his laptop on the edge of the table every loop since the second. Not even the two latino women sitting between the three agents seem to take notice, as they are simply too busy with their own conversation.

Meanwhile Agent Évangélus Givenchy gets distracted on the sixth or seventh loop and misses his run, but catches up and shows at the end of the loop instead. From then on, he stays there. Shortly after, a client gets offended at agent narF's filming, protesting that it is a breach of his private life. He attempts to steal the agent's camera, laptop, and even his ass (no we haven't figured that out either). narF, fearing confrontation and damage to his material (and posterior), leaves. Two more confused runs are managed without Agent Évangélus Givenchy, who seems to have vanished before agent Muffin decides it is time to wrap up prematurely while things are still going rather smoothly. Besides, his coffee has by now turned into coffee-flavored sugar. He his shortly after joined outside by agents Munster, Orange and Circéus, none of which were much noticed.

We've done a freeze on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign main quad to promote 08 Olympic.

On April 1st, two radio station Disc Jockeys with a small crew of station employees headed to downtown San Diego in hopes to finally give away a MILLION DOLLARS... well, at least this is what bystanders believed! Ginger Starr along with Ragin' Rick and their sound-guy interviewed ON THE AIR several San Diegans to see who knew the MILLION DOLLAR PHRASE. Bystanders gave their best shot at a mill, when they failed they were asked to do a stupid Human trick.... This is where things got interesting, a guy threw himself into traffic another was going to have his friend break his arm! Finally the million dollars are granted to one of our Agents but the reactions of those around her are REAL!

We had 25 agents participate in this fun mission. Most were part of "the crowd" Agents Chrissy and Tom were our DJs, we had a great sound guy and other radio "Staff." Thanks for all those of you who came out. See you at the next mission!

Inspired by the Grand Central Freeze, a friend organized a Freeze in Bath, England on Saturday, 26th of April. There were about 200 people freezing, and I think there were some confused shoppers and tourists in Bath that day! ....You can see the red balloon floating away at the end - that was the signal to unfreeze.

Today we staged Frozen Boulder (Colorado). We had upwards of 150 people strike a pose on the main pedsetrain mall in the middle of town, and everything went off perfectly. For most folks, this was their first time (mine too) doing anything like this, and people loved it. Big "thanks!" from Boulder to Improv Everywhere NYC core for starting this.

At the most excellent Afterparty, a bunch of people came up with cool ideas for future events. We'll keep you updated with our latest adventures.
