Best Buy Seattle Style(SouthCenter Bestbuy in Tukwila)Event Date June 7 Saturday

We are going to do the samething they did in the New York bestbuy but in Tukwila,Washington

In order to participate you must arrive adhering to a very specific dress code:

1) Blue Polo Shirt. Short sleeved. Any brand. Preferably with no logo. As Close to Royal Blue as possible. As close to this exact shirt as possible.

2) Khaki Pants. Any shade of khaki is fine. No shorts.

3) Belt. Any belt is fine.

Other Instructions:

-If possible, please wear black shoes. This is not required, but please wear them if you have them.

-If possible, do not bring a backpack or any type of bag. This is not a huge deal, but it will work better without bags.

-I will also need a undercover camera crew to dress normal and tape the event. It is against store policy so we need to be careful about it. Only show up if you are wearing the proper dress and ready to participate and have fun!

The event will be at the best Buy in Southcenter by the Westfield Mall here is the address.
17364 Southcenter Pkwy, Tukwila, WA 98188
Event Date: June 7, 2008 Saturday
Event Time: 4:00 pm please be there at 3:30 so we can get ready

We meet up infront of the HobbyTownUSA store which is in the parking Lot. so watch the video so you know what to do we have one agents go in every 15 seconds.
We’ll enter the store one by one.

Once inside, spread out and stand near the end of an aisle, facing away from the merchandise. Don’t shop, but don’t work either. If a customer comes up to you and asks you a question, be polite and help them if you know the answer. If anyone asks you if you work there, say no. If an employee asks you what you’re doing, respond ‘I’m waiting for my girlfriend/boyfriend who is shopping elsewhere in the store.’ If they question you about your clothing, just explain that it’s what you put on when you woke up this morning and you don’t know any of the other people dressed like you.”


I need as many agents as possible so please let me know if you are coming by reponding the more agents the better. If you have any questions let me know. Parker - I think I may actually have a very large metaphorical wrench to throw into this perfectly laid plan. :-( I don't know if the Tukwila Best Buy is doing this or not, but at least my Best Buy is having a "grand opening" of a new "store-within-a-store" called Best Buy Mobile from the 16-17th. If word of our opening gets around on the 16th, there might not be as much foot traffic in the Tukwila store on the 17th. Again, I'm pretty sure the Tukwila store is not having such an event, but just the fact of a store so close to it having one is a potential customer draw. I also would not suggest coming to the Federal Way store during this. BB Mobile has been on all the managers' tongues for a month or more. Even a tiny bit of good-natured fun would probably not be taken too well. Also, pushing the date back a bit would allow for more people to be involved.

Ok, Matthew C looks like your on the camera crew you will need to camouflage your camera so no empolyee or managment sees your camera it is not allowed to take videos in the store. and also the NorthGate BB is tooo far. I will let you know at least by friday if we are still doing it let me know if you guys can bring extra people and also need an amout by friday. Everybody that is showing up plz let me know and also how many other people you can bring and also Camera crew wears normal clothes so you dont get caught.

Sounds like a sweet deal. I actually work at the Best Buy in Federal Way, so I would be down with being one of the undercover camera operators. It might get pretty sketchy if I was to wear my ACTUAL Best Buy shirt. I would probably use the method that worked the best last time: I'll just slap a memory card in one of their displays and shoot from there. However, the Tukwila BB's camera section isn't as close to the door as New York's, so we need some undercover people with mad camouflage skillz.

But yeah, definitely sounds like a good idea. I just wish Federal Way's store could get more foot traffic to necessitate something like this.
