Hi all - we are meeting tomorrow (sun may 31st) at 5:30pm at the Grove - same as always :)
If you have never attended, this is an open, relaxed improv session where you can come and participate at your own comfort level. None of us are experts so don't worry about skill!! Please come!

Yay Ali, thanks for that awesome improv game for us to play on Sunday evening - The Late Employee! That was great. I could have done a few more rounds.
We won't be meeting this coming weekend (May 25th), and the following weekend we are doing an ImprovEverywhere event at the Saturday Market (details to follow). We'll have to decide then if we want to do another improv session.
Plan sounds good. Im a big fan of a freeze and the moebius. I was thinking that, just like you said, the saturday market would be PERFECT for a freeze...we'll have to do that sometime. I love the idea of doing the moebius at B&N in the starbucks spot...so much to do and so open. Im excited!
Yay Warren and Ali will be there!! Who else this week?! I hope we can get a great turnout.
So I'm thinking a better format would be 1-2 intro/warmup games, 2-3 improv games, then 1-2 Improv Everywhere scenes. How does this sound?
Here is my brainstorm of scenes (based largely on Improv Everywhere)
Sprout at the Grove: Agents sprout in the many planters around the grove
Pantomime Painters at the Boise Hole: We pantomime painting along the art fence at the Boise Hole, while gathering feedback on our work from passersby.
Slo Mo at a Coffee Shop: At a synchronized time, we all move in slow motion for a few minutes, then resume normal speed.
Freeze around town: Speaks for itself. Saturday market would be *perfect*
Freeze + mirror: We are in our own spots, but we mirror one other agent from a distance, and they in turn are mirroring someone else, all the way back in a huge loop.
Meet a... : Help others out with some diversity. Have a "Meet a drug dealer" outside the courthouse, "meet a gay atheist" outside a fundamentalist church, "meet a redneck" outside the Balcony, etc and so on
Cell Phone Symphony: With either the same brands ring tone, or one we all set up, several agents get a call at the same time while in a coffee shop or book store. Twilight Zone!
Look Up More: People at all floors in a building mirror someone on the ground floor at the same time. This would work great in one of the parking garages around town, especially at night with flashlights or similar. This is what we did that one time in the elevator shaft.
Boise Little Tours: Tour guides sell tickets to a very, very small tour yet full of details (like a tour of the corner of 8th and Main).
The Moebius: We are broken record customers, repeating the same action every few minutes at a coffee shop. I think the Starbuck island at Barnes and Noble would have tons of visibility: it is like a stage!
Celebrity Trash: We sell celebrity trash as street vendors.
Warp Zone: At a radio shack, video store, etc, a customer begins singing a catchy tune. So catchy, that it catches on with several other customers!
Public Bingo Game: Really, it's as simple as that. With fun little prizes like plastic flutes.
Fake Protest: pick some issue, make a mock version, and picket somewhere
The Memorial: We gather for.. uh.. no good reason at all.. to remember... uh... nothing in particular...
