This is something that I have had in the works for a long time and I have now found the forum which could help me complete it. I want to go, in a large group, to Westlake Center, wearing plain white t-shirts, holding blank picket signs, and passing out blank sheets of paper to passer-bys shouting such phrases as "what do we want? nothing! when do we want it? now". I want to do it by the end of next month. Any takers?
I am still planning on attending, and I can bring at least two people with me. To be clear, we are meeting at 12:30 in Westlake Center? Or meeting somewhere else and then moving to Westlake center at 1pm?
Protest nothing is supposed to take place tomorrow, at 1pm in Westlake center. We would be meeting at 12:30 to sort out logistics. Anyone still planning on attending?
it seems like the starbucks at westlake on wednesday was suggested. it might be nice to hold it in the evening so that people can come after work. maybe 7?
So do we have a definite time this is going to happen on the 31st? Or a definite time and meeting place for planning before hand? I am really looking forward to this!
Ok, lets plan on meeting wed or thurs if we can of this upcoming week? What day works best for all of you? Similar to Mr. Spots, we should meet at a coffee shop or something for logistics- but I don't know where everyone is located and what would work best for them. We got just a little time left- and the protest is still planned for West Lake Center where a lot of protests happen. Ok, so I need to now know Wed or Thurs? And what location works best for everyone?
I would like to Protest Nothing. The 31st works great for me. My schedule is busy this week, but Thursday is clear, so if you have the pre-plan on Thursday, I will be there. I am in Renton, but I am off work at 4:00, so I can be anywhere in the evening. If most people are south-end, then Southcenter works - it definitely works great for me, but I agree with Caleb, since the event is going to be in Seattle, that is also a fair meeting place. If we meet in Seattle I would have the meeting in Pioneer Square; that is away from Westlake where the event is going to occur. After all, we don’t want them getting suspicious or recognizing us :)
Also, Caleb mentioned having shirts printed. I thought the idea was that the shirts were going to be blank white and so where the signs and the fliers. That also keeps costs down.
