We Cause Scenes

Bring The City Some Music!

Alright, I had this idea a while ago and figured I would share it to see what you guys thought of it. This doesn't really take a lot of people, and in fact, works with a minimum amount, but could be done in many places across the city by different groups.

Basically, this idea is fairly simple. We get a bunch of people (five to sevenish) on to a streetcar, bus, or subway car, and have them all sit in different parts of the vehicle. Then, randomly, the first person will start to sing! What will they be singing? Doesn't really matter... but something uplifting with a positive message (and something others on the vehicle probably know) would work best.
One after the other, the other players start to join in... until eventually all of them are singing the same song.
Its always bugged me how dull of a place most ttc vehicles are. Almost no one has a smile on their face, people are pushing each other out of the way, rushing through crowds of people, I think we should bring a bit of joy to the daily rat race! Plus, it would be an added bonus if people not involved in the project (the bystanders) start to sing along with us! Im sure we can get a few people to snap out of their morning blahs and embrace it!

Okay so this is going really slowly so I thought I'd plan one group.
I'm going to need 10 people and one person to film the event. We'll be going on the Yonge line and we'll be meeting at Union station during rush hour (5.00) next Saturday (the 23rd I think).
In short:
Next Saturday at 5.00pm at the Southwest corner of the Bay and Front intersection.
If you're interested msg or email me (daniella.diadamo@hotmail.com) and once I get 10 people+camera to join we can vote or decide on a song. :)

Just some ideas for the songs, I think that 'You've Got a Friend in Me' (you know, from Toy Story) 'Ordinary Day' (Great big Sea) 'Bad Day' (Daniel Powter) and 'Unwritten' (Natasha Bedingfield) would be some good ones.

Hey guys, this idea is fabulous!
Just need to learn the lyrics...
Let's get a date and time and I try to be there!

All you need is love is a great choice. We should go with this.

The 2 most important questions are
When?
and
What Song?

We should have a vote

I think this is a fantastic idea. Might I suggest, along with actual singing, also adding some instrumental voices? :)
