Suggest Ideas For mission

Tell us your Ideas, We Consume it, digest it and MAKE IT HAPPEN (If you're lucky). Just spill out your mind Juices here and share them. We will be checking this discussion for inspiration so make sure your Ideas are here when we come to feed. It is HIGHLY encouraged that you read the mission reports from ImprovEverywhere before writing but hey, i don't really care if you do or not anyway.haha.

Just give us your ideas eh.

These are question that you can ask yourself when coming up with an idea:

1. Can the act be deemed as public nuisance?

2. Would the act cause panic?

3. Would the act cause an obstruction in anyway?

hhaha. It may seems impossible at first but think properly and carefully.
(A good way of getting around some of these stuff is through presentation, if people know that the act is an act, then it'll most likely not cause panic or if the act is put in the right context, then the humour can be more apparent and people can enjoy it)

P.S. Do not discuss the ideas here, just put them down. We do the planning, so this is only for giving suggestion. So don't expect that we would 100% adopt your idea. We are looking for inspiration from members.

Process of planning mission
1. Get ideas. 2. Refine idea 3. Refine idea 4. Got to mission site and refine the idea 5.Write out mission plan 6. Tell people what they'll be doing 7.Mission happens when the time come 8. Think about what just happened 9. Reflect for improvement.

I shall put it simply here so that it'll be easy to digest for everyone. Comment to this post and let me know of any recommendation for improvements.

Number of participants: A large group

The act: Write something sweet, perhaps a praise or a warm greeting, on a piece of Post-it note and paste it onto the sleves of unexpecting people.

The "supposed pretence" would be that it is for "Post-it Love Day" or "Post-it Friendship Day". (The Love/Friendship can be used interchangably)

What's "Post-it Love/Friendship Day"?: It is a day where people spread love/friendship amongst strangers through post-its, so when asked why you pasted a post-it on them, tell them about the event and that you're spreading love/friendship. But we all know that it will be just for the fun of it.

Execution: Similar to the freeze, participants will be submerged in the sea of people and would suddenly carry out the act when given the que. (The execution part can still be amended, any creative intro is welcome)

Reason: Bring joy to strangers and have fun at the same time.; ▶ Reply to This

everyone get a cape. get a blanket, garbage bag, or whatever you need to make a decent looking cape to throw over your shoulders.

Taking turns, fit one or a few into a glass elevator (such as the one at wisma). hit the button that gets you to the highest floor, but not before flashing those pearlies and doing the classic superman pose (google superman pose for research) - one arm stretched out over head, fist clenched, one leg up (or not..).
(pretend to) FLY.

underwear over tights, additional costumery (DIY logo, mask to hide identity, boots, gloves, latex suit, pimped up cape, pasta drainer over head etc), superhero getup, hero name, script, battlecry, additional activities after (running around town with above-mentioned suggestions) etc. all at your own discretion and imagination.
deconstruct that elevator space. play out that childhood fantasy. amusement for all. and we don't even need to throw ourselves two storeys down to 'fly'.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Kat on June 24, 2008 at 11:11am: a group of people cross a busy road -- think Orchard -- then stop, turn towards all the vehicles waiting to go, strike a pose. hold pose for as long as possible, then resume crossing. like it's perfectly normal for everyone who crosses the road to pose for the drivers haha.

very simple (albeit slightly boring), but i think this idea can be expanded on and made more elaborate & interesting.; ▶ Reply to This
