GurilLA brainstorm

since people like to add 'hey I like your idea, how about this one' to existing threads, why don't we have a master brainstorm thead... so here it is. ideas for missions discussed, chewed, mulled, spit and perhaps even considered.

when thinking about a mission we should consider all angles, the action, the reaction and the documentation. we should ask the questions: does it move me, is it fun, or simply funny, will it cause a spectator to question breadth of his or her existence? let's consider the lasting impact of gurilla improv upon the LA landscape.

have at it folks,

well hows this for a plan...find any 24/7 place(cvs, ralphs) and usually those are empty all night leaving the employees bored as hell...everytime i go in one of those at night i like to give them a little excitement for their long nights but how about if we fill their whole night with fun? we have agents start going in 1 every here and there...and then gardually growing until the place is packed. once the place is packed we have about 3-4 boomboxes begin to play the same cd and get everyone to start dancingas dawn breaks everyone just stops instantly without a single word or noise and march out of the store like nothing happened. any suggestions or anyone willing to pull this one off? everyone would have fun, nothing required to be purchased, its simple and local and would give everyone a good night. alternatives to this idea would be like putting a random yoga or fitness song in there and we all start working out..

Suggestion: We all shop at 1am dressed like vampires, werewolves and other creatures of the night.

haha that would be funny to see a group of vampires acting like their totally into it lol. oh what about dressing as ninjas in broad daylight ?

Ridiculous! Yes! :D

hmm so are any interested in pulling this one off? if we cant get a huge group we can do a small scale version, but i would still be lokoing forward to pulling off a large scale atleast 75 people in a store dancing...

Umm,... It needs a little work, yo.

So I know we're not too keen on doing things that have already been done but... maybe we could tweak this one a bit to make it truly original?

I think it would be cool to recreate the moebius. It would probably need to be a small mission, about 30 agents or so, and all we would have to do (individually) is think of something moderately noticeable to do every 5 minutes. We would all be assigned a different start time, so that every 5 minutes would be ONE sequence, and then when it's all put together we would be repeating the same 5-minute sequence of events.

But how to make it original... and where? Maybe we could have some sort of theme, like all do something stereotypically Angeleno? For instance, maybe someone's action could be to move into a highly visible part of the location with a compact mirror (for sunlight or whatnot, right?) and apply lip gloss or something. That seems moderately noticeable, if it's right in the middle of a coffee shop (should that be our location) or something.

What do you all think? I know Agent A mentioned to me briefly that he had thought about recreating this mission but we didn't get to talk much more about it. :S

Has there ever been a Freeze at Universal City Walk?

It would be a good idea to do one on a weekend, thats when its usually really full. it can take place in the main plaza under the giant big screen

Another thing is maybe break into a chicken dance in the main plaza as well.

i think thats great! i mean freezes have been done alot but a freeze with 100+ people at universal would be awesome. who else would wanna do it?

You didn't say anything about the chicken dance part. So far none of the missions have made it a point to make fools out of our agents. I'd like to think we would want to keep it that way. Even the ones that are silly are so due to the situation, not necessarily due to the behavior. Please tell me y'all can see the difference.

This is a wacky idea. A reverse scavenger hunt. We would go to a place (imagine Hollywood & Highland) and hand out a scavenger hunt list and encourage people to participate (maybe some sort of reward), and what it is that people would be searching for is agents. Agents in bright solid color shirts. And each agent might be carrying an object, so on the list you'd have "Guy in bright blue shirt carrying large toy airplane." Or, okay, how about instead of carrying stuff, the people had to say to an agent "Hi, what is your name?" and then each agent would give them a clue, and they'd have to write it down. Or or wait, okay, how about some of us go to Hollywood & Highland, bring a laptop & printer, meanwhile a bunch of us run around writing down descriptions of people who are there, type it up hella fast, print it out, and then hand it out to the agents, and the agents go on a search for those people. Well, wait, that might really annoy people working there. Hmmm. I think there is an idea in here somewhere. Do you see it?

i like the idea what popped into my head was to have the agents walking around with an object *some small reward in mind might get people to join in and then have the agents *wearing something EXTREMELY noticeable and carrying some crazy object or walking around with some loud music and then when people start following them they run away to a designated area where we have a surprise party and start singing to the person give them a cupcake or something i donno my 2 cents
