i just joined, so i'm not sure if the info was sent out already =(
Thought I should head this off since I heard from Ellen that you were given a chance to "rebut my criticism."
The "Taco Bell killed the freeze" comment was made during a discussion of about the commercialization of what we do. I was NOT implying that commercialization is a bad thing, just that it's a fact we need to recognize.
We were talking about future plans and how our group needed to be original. I said that in my opinion (and the opinion of my fellow GLAers), once millions of people see something, the sense of surprise is lost. Due to this, missions with the same level of popularity as the Freeze are pretty much off limits in our group. If there was any doubt that the Freeze has reached a level of popularity where it has lost all of its surprise and shock value, Law and Order and Taco Bell killed the Freeze.
So, I hope that clarifies that I meant no disrespect or criticism... I was merely explaining one of the criterion that our group uses when planning our missions.
